Funding for our future-oriented “HyTec” project

neoxid hydrogen is receiving around 2.04 million euros in EU funding to set up automated series production of hydrogen sensors and catalytic hydrogen burners in Neuss. Through the “HyTec” project, neoxid hydrogen AG in Neuss is investing in the construction of a state-of-the-art production facility for hydrogen systems.

On 29 June 2026, the funding approval notice for the “HyTec” project was formally presented by District President Thomas Schürmann. The funding comes from the North Rhine-Westphalia EFRE/JTF Programme 2021–2027 and amounts to around 2.04 million euros from European Union funds.

The EFRE/JTF programme is 100 per cent funded by the European Union. The state of North Rhine-Westphalia is responsible for programme administration, approval and disbursement.

The programme specifically supports innovation and industrial transition towards climate-neutral technologies.

“With HyTec, we are laying the foundations to produce our innovative hydrogen technologies in significantly larger quantities at our Neuss site in future. This funding enables us to take the next step in our growth whilst creating high-quality jobs in North Rhine-Westphalia,” explained Dieter Ostermann, CEO of neoxid nydrogen.
